GroundState Mood is a local-only mood tracking application. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on our servers. Everything stays on your device.

This policy explains what data the app stores locally and how it is used.

Data We Store

All data is stored on your device only using AsyncStorage (a local storage mechanism provided by React Native).

We store:

• Mood entries: Your selected mood (Happy, Sad, Neutral, or Stressed) and the timestamp of each entry.
• App preferences: Any settings you configure within the app (if applicable in future versions).

We do not store:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number).
• Location data.
• Device identifiers.
• Usage analytics.

How We Use Data

Your mood data is used solely to:

• Display your mood history within the app.
• Generate visualisations and insights on your device.

We do not:

• Transmit your data to any server.
• Share your data with third parties.
• Analyse your data for marketing, research, or any other purpose.
• Use analytics SDKs or tracking tools.

Permissions

The app currently requires no special permissions.

Future versions (v1.1 and beyond) may request:

• Notification permission (optional): To send local reminders on your device at times you choose. These reminders are generated entirely on your device; no server or push notification service is involved.

You can decline any permission request. The app will continue to function for mood tracking.

Children's Privacy

GroundState Mood does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Because all data is stored locally and we do not collect any information, the app may be used by individuals of any age at the discretion of a parent or guardian.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app and update the "Effective Date" above.

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
